
Lenten Season begins, Daniel's Fast
Wednesday, February 10th
Begin each day with Prayer, Scripture and Inspirational Song. Block One Hour of each for mediation on scripture (No TV or Radio). During the Fast, watch Christian Television listen to Christian Radio Station.
Weeks 1 and 2: Eliminate all junk food, (Potato chips, corn chips, candy, cakes, pies, cookies, etc.) all artificial flavored beverages and any food prepared sweeteners. You can have decaf coffee as long as you use honey.
Weeks 3 and 4: Eliminate all red meats from your diet (no beef, pork, deer, lamb) plus continue with the instructions from week one and two. Only meats that will be permitted are fish, chicken/poultry.
Week 5: Eliminate all fried foods at this time. only broiled/baked meats such as fish, chicken, poultry are allowed. Continue with the instructions from weeks one through four.
Week 6: This week we will be eating fruits, vegetables and nuts. they can be raw or cooked. we will also be continuing with the instructions from weeks one through five.
Week 7: The first two days of week 7, we will continue to eat fruits, vegetables and nuts ONLY. By this time we will be eating only one meal a day. We will also be continuing with the instructions from week one through six.
The Saturday after Good Friday: We will be on a complete FAST!
